Persis Hall is the first female hall among the female halls established in the College. The dormitory blocks were completed in the year 1949 and the women joined in early 1950 from Mmofraturo. Among our peers, we are the best; we are the best when it comes to games, beauty pageantry, quizzes and other disciplines. We won the level 100 games in the 2018/2019 and the 2020/2021 academic years. We also won Miss Akwaaba 2018/2019 and Face of Wesco in 2018/2019. We took the second position in the inter college hall quiz in 2021/2022, the second position in the 2019/2020 level 100 games and second in the general games 2021/2022. Even as of now, we are the only hall that has set the pace to safeguard its members by fixing of burglar proof. Because fire is a risk in every building, whether you sleep, study or work you should always have an escape plan. Therefore, we have been able to install two fire extinguishers to curb the outbreak of fire. Sockets have been fixed in each room for students to charge their devices in their rooms without coming out. We have also installed two smoke alarm machines in each of our rooms to detect smoke in order to avoid fire outbreak. Aside all the developments in the hall, there are still important items that are needed for our generation.
What We Want To Do
We may need old students of Knight- Persis to come to our aid to help us to construct an additional toilet and bath facility and also to help us to extend our common hall. Thank God for Mr. George Yaw Owusu (leader of Ghana’s discovery of crude oil) for giving us a television. And to our able current hall mistress, Ms. Joyce Asante Afful, say we say thank you for your selflessness and dedication, we pray that God replenish you for your good works.
Members of the hall always stand for discipline, integrity, inclusivity and Christian values aimed at achieving high academic and professional laurels.
Many hall mistresses have come and gone and we say ‘Ayekoo’ to the present and all past mistresses for their good work done! We are always the best.
